Federal Tax Credits for Energy Efficiency
As of January 1, 2011, Federal Tax Credits for Energy Efficiency were changed and approved through the signing of the stimulus bill (The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act).
What does this mean for homeowners like yourself?
- Tax credits of $300 are available on qualifying models of heat pumps and air conditioning systems installed in 2011 in existing homes.
- Tax credits of an additional $150 are also available if a 95% efficiency gas furnace is installed with a qualifying system.
